Mansard roof - gable, but its difference from a simple gable roof is an increase in the attic space due to the broken structure.
Flat - do not enjoy. They must be cleaned regularly. On such roofs litter and snow are delayed, which leads to rapid leakage.
Spire-shaped, or domed, roofs - are used extremely rarely on circular structures.

You should also take into account the technical points: the heavier the material of the roof, the stronger the rafters' system, the more reliable the walls and the foundation. When choosing a roof, you should pay special attention to the durability and sound insulation of the material, as well as the possibility of repair without all its replacement.
